William Street Catering

About Us

Tano Holmes, Client Experience

Event planning is stressful! It makes all the difference when the caterer you are working with cares as if it were their own event. When Tano founded William Street Catering, he envisioned this user experience - one that focused on detailed, client-oriented service from ideation and menu planning to the big day.

At WSC, we cater events because we want to, because we care about you and your guests, and because we are gratified when the event goes exactly the way you envisioned it.

A Culinary Institute of America graduate, Tano worked as a line cook at both the East Coast Grill and Red Rooster in Harlem, and as a banquets chef at the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan. He currently works as a licensed real-estate agent for Century 21.

Nicholas Gonzalez, Culinary

A graduate of the Applied Food Studies program at the Culinary Institute of America, Nick is passionate about people, food systems, horticulture/agriculture, social justice and food access.

Whether your inquiry is for a Texas BBQ-themed waterfront wedding in Brooklyn, a retirement party on the Cape, or a block party in the Bronx - Nick and team craft a thoughtful menu to meet your needs.

Nick honed his skills as a chef at Gramercy Tavern in Manhattan. He worked as a recipe developer and production manager at Red Rabbit, a social justice business providing healthy, culturally inclusive school lunches to thousands of New York City charter school students. He currently works on the product development team at HelloFresh.

Miles Thomas-Moore, Beverage Manager

Miles and Tano are childhood friends and longtime partners in hospitality. Whether you need a full service bar, or just some thoughtfully sourced beer and wine, Miles brings the staffing and supply chain connections to fulfill your beverage needs. Miles lives in Melrose and works as a Sales Manager at S.K.I Wholesale Beer Corporation overseeing distribution for Manhattan’s West Side. He's passionate about sourcing what you need and finding the best value for your dollar. When he's not working, Miles is usually out on the soccer field, hiking a mountain, or traveling. He's a big fan of sports, food (empanadas in particular), and craft beer.
